Zenith with OpenTable
Reservations taken by phone, written into your book.
A table promised on the phone only counts if it is in the book the host is looking at. Zenith books, moves and cancels reservations in OpenTable directly, keeps the guest's notes with them, and confirms to the guest only after the booking is read back from OpenTable.
Reads and writes
What Zenith reads from OpenTable, and what it writes.
Set up per location against your own floor and booking rules.
- Availability
- Read for the date, time and party size the guest asks for, under the rules you already set in OpenTable.
- Reservations
- Written when a guest books by call, text or chat. Changed when they move the time or party size. Cancelled when they ask.
- Guest profiles
- Read to recognize a returning guest and their visit history.
- Guest and reservation notes
- Read so the occasion or allergy already on file is known. Written when the guest mentions one, such as a birthday or a gluten-free diner.
- Today's book
- Read so a caller who is running late is matched to tonight's reservation and the host is told.
A booking
Every reservation is read back before it is confirmed.
A double-booked table is worse than a missed call, so Zenith never confirms from memory.
- 01
Check
Zenith asks OpenTable what is open for the party size and time the guest wants, and offers only those times.
- 02
Write
The guest picks a time and Zenith creates the reservation in OpenTable with their name, number and notes.
- 03
Read back
Zenith reads the reservation from OpenTable and checks it matches what the guest agreed to.
- 04
Confirm
Only then does the guest get a confirmation by text, and reminders follow on the schedule you set.

On its own, and where it stops
Zenith handles the routine. Your people handle the rest.
On its own, Zenith books, moves and cancels reservations within your rules and passes notes to the host. Large parties, private events and anything involving a deposit or a waived fee go to a person.
Zenith answers, routes, books and handles routine questions on its own. Refunds, discounts, complaints, low reviews and campaigns wait for a person, and anyone on your team can take over a conversation at any time.
Your dataThe voice model carries the spoken conversation and nothing else. Your customer records stay in your own database, read only by your own agents.
Start here, keep the foundation
Start with one function. Add the rest without starting over.
Connect OpenTable and start with reservation calls: booking, moving and running-late calls handled while the host seats the room. The same guest records then carry into review requests after a visit and win-back offers for guests who have not been in for a while.
FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
Is the connection live today?
Connections are set up for each company when its Zenith instance is configured, and Ferrata confirms each one works on the company's own data before calls go live.
Can Zenith double-book a table?
It is designed not to. Zenith offers only the times OpenTable says are open, writes the reservation into OpenTable, and confirms to the guest only after reading it back. If the time was taken in the meantime, the guest is offered the next open one.
Does Zenith follow our pacing and party-size rules?
Yes. It books through OpenTable under the rules you already set there, and you can add your own on top in Zenith, such as sending parties over eight to your events lead.
What happens when a guest calls to say they're running late?
Zenith matches the caller to tonight's reservation, notes the new arrival time on it, and tells the host stand, so the table is not given away without anyone knowing.
Are guest notes kept?
Yes. Notes already on the guest or reservation are read so Zenith knows about an allergy or an occasion, and anything the guest mentions on the call or by text is written back to the reservation.
Is Zenith affiliated with OpenTable?
Zenith is an independent product and is not certified by or affiliated with OpenTable. It connects through access granted for your own restaurants.
