Zenith with Toast

Answer the order question from the order itself.

Most restaurant calls are about something Toast already knows: is my order ready, do you have the special tonight, what did I order last time. Zenith reads your menu, open orders and guest history from Toast, so the answer comes from your own records rather than a guess, and the host stand stays with the guests in the room.

What Zenith reads

The Toast records Zenith works from.

Mapped per location when your instance is set up. Toast stays the record for every order and payment.

Menu and modifiers
Read so Zenith can answer what is on the menu, what a dish contains as you have described it, and which modifiers you offer, such as a gluten-free crust.
Menu availability
Read so an item you have marked out of stock is not offered on the phone or by text.
Open orders and status
Read when a caller asks where their order is: the items, the pickup or delivery time quoted, and whether the kitchen has fired it.
Guest profiles
Read to match a caller or texter by phone number to a known guest, with the name and contact preferences on file.
Order history
Read for the caller card: last order, how often they come in, what they usually get.
Locations and hours
Read so the answer to "are you open" matches each location's own hours.

On the call

A regular's last order, on screen before hello.

When a known guest calls, Zenith matches the number to their Toast profile and puts their recent orders beside the call. Whoever picks up, Zenith or your host, starts the conversation already knowing who it is.

Matched by phone
The number dialed in is checked against your Toast guest profiles first.
Order details shared carefully
Order contents and totals are discussed only once the caller is matched to the order.

On its own, and where it stops

Zenith handles the routine. Your people handle the rest.

On its own, Zenith answers order status, hours and menu questions from Toast. A refund, a comp or a complaint about an order waits for a manager, with the order already on the thread.

Zenith answers, routes, books and handles routine questions on its own. Refunds, discounts, complaints, low reviews and campaigns wait for a person, and anyone on your team can take over a conversation at any time.

Your dataThe voice model carries the spoken conversation and nothing else. Your customer records stay in your own database, read only by your own agents.

Start here, keep the foundation

Start with one function. Add the rest without starting over.

Connect Toast and start with the calls you miss during service: order status, hours and menu questions answered from your own data. The same guest records then power reservations, reactivation of regulars who went quiet, and review requests after an order, without connecting Toast a second time.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Is the connection live today?

Connections are set up for each company when its Zenith instance is configured, and Ferrata confirms each one works on the company's own data before calls go live.

What does Zenith read from Toast?

Your menu and modifiers, item availability, open orders and their status, guest profiles, order history, and each location's hours. It reads what it needs to answer calls and texts and to show the caller card, and nothing beyond what you agree when the connection is set up.

Does Zenith take orders or payments in Toast?

No. Toast stays where orders are taken and paid. When a caller wants to order, Zenith can text the link to your own online ordering, or hand the call to your team, as your routing says.

Will Zenith offer an item we've run out of?

It reads the availability you set in Toast, so an item you mark out of stock is not offered. If you sell out mid-service and update Toast, the next answer reflects it.

How does Zenith recognize a regular?

By the phone number calling or texting in, matched against the guest profiles in Toast. A new number starts as a new person; when they order, their history fills in on the same thread.

Is Zenith affiliated with Toast?

Zenith is an independent product and is not certified by or affiliated with Toast. It connects with Toast through access you grant for your own restaurant group.

Start with Zenith, or talk it through first.

Thirty minutes with Ferrata Labs on how calls and messages reach you today. You leave with a view of where Zenith fits, and an honest answer if something else should come first.

Your menu, your policies, your routing and the way you talk to customers are yours. Zenith is configured to them. You are not fitting your front desk into a template.
